Counter-current biofilter for odor removal
Azurair® B Up is an high-rate biofiltration solution, specifically engineered for the treatment of foul air charged containing sulfurous, nitrogenous and volatil organic compounds.It is often sufficient on its own to meet standard odor control targets and can also be integrated as a pre-treatment stage.
The Azurair® B Up operation enhances a pH gradient in the biofilm support (Biolite®) promoting the development of a more abundant and diverse microbiology, which is crucial for effectively eliminating a wider range of odor compounds : Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) at the bottom of the filter bed and Ammoniac (NH3), Mercaptans (R-SH) and Volatil Organic Compounds (VOC) in upper layers.
