direct thickening screen on biological sludge of different concentration – Drainis ® GD
Drainis® GD (Grit Drainage) gravitates the flocculated polymer sludge through a screen (grid). Elastomeric scrapers push the sludge to the end of the screen. Its washing is automatic.
The Drainis® GD is available in 2 versions depending on the type of sludge and its concentration:
- Drainis® GD-D (Divergent mesh) has a drainage screen with a progressive mesh size that optimizes Dynamic Sludge Thickening. The spacing between the bars allows the thickening of dilute sludge from 2 g/l to 8 g/l. On an extended aeration plant type, the output dryness is between 4 and 6% with sludge directly taken from the aeration tank.
- Drainis® GD-E (Equal mesh) has a drainage screen with a continue mesh size. The spacing between the bars allows the thickening of dilute sludge > 8 g/l. It is declined in two models corresponding to different sludge concentration. The output dryness will be between 5 and 10% depending on the input concentration.
