water and generalities

The "water and generalities" rubric includes:

  • the fundamental concepts of the different water treatment processes and technologies, mainly in chapters fundamental biological engineering processes applicable to water treatment, fundamental physical-chemical engineering processes applicable to water treatment
  • their context: What is water? Why should we treat water? Which are the main micro-organisms used in treatment or that need to be eradicated?
  • finally, an essential aspect for the water treatment practitioner, particularly in the field, a reminder of the main analysis used to appraise the quality of water and its suitability for treatment (water analysis and treatability), to select appropriate materials (corrosion in metal and concrete)
