rhizopur

Reading time:

The Rhizopur process is an urban wastewater treatment process adapted to small local authorities. It associates a plastic-filler bacterial bed and an infiltration bed planted with reeds, known as rhizofilters.

Sludge management is simplified: sludge is admitted at the surface of the filter and undergoes a slow anaerobic digestion phenomenon. The cumulative layer is to the order of 25cm / year and sludge must be evacuated when the thickness reaches 1.50m.

When correctly dimensioned, the treatment outlet corresponds to the discharge requirements in a normal zone.
